The Richmond Hill Ringette Association Welcomes You

Come out to our AGM this coming Sunday, 4:30 pm, at Tom Graham Arena.  Learn how we did over this past year and how we are looking for the coming season.  We are always looking for new help too, so if interested come out and have a chat with the existing Executive and find out how you can help. 

Attention U12 parents (Players born in 2002 and 2003)!  RHRA will be conducting U12 evaluations for Regional and Provincial Teams.  Here are the dates and times:

• Thursday June 13,  7:00 PM at Tom Graham East - Evaluations - All Players
• Tuesday June 18, 7:00 PM at Tom Graham East - Evaluations - All Players
• Thursday June 20, 7:00 PM at Tom Graham East - Provincial Tryout - By invitation only
  
• Tuesday June 25, 7:00 PM at Tom Graham East - Provincial Tryout - By invitation only
  

The evaluation sessions are free and will last for 1 hour each but please register so that we know who and how many will be attending.  We will rotate the girls through several stations and measure skills such as skating, passing, stabbing, and shooting.  The evaluation sessions are important so that we can assess the development of our players over the past season and to determine the number and level of U12 teams that will formed for the upcoming season.  We will assess different skills in the two sessions so players should attend both sessions if available.

Notes:

1. Please download and fill out the following form and bring it to the first session.  In that form you can express your desire to be considered for a Provincial Team(s).  Blank forms will be available in case you forget.
2. Out of Association players that would like to be considered for our U12 Provincial Team(s) need to attend the evaluation session and they must bring a singed tryout release form from their home association.
3. The number of Provincial teams will be determined by the number and skill level of players available

Some of Richmond Hill’s most dedicated citizens were recognized by the Town of Richmond Hill for their long-term dedication and commitment to building a stronger community through volunteering.  This year, Mayor Dave Barrow presented Jim File with a Volunteer Achievement Award at a ceremony held on Friday, April 26 at the Richmond Hill Country Club.  Jim received an etched glass award, as well as a certificate acknowledging that a tree will be planted in his honour in Phyllis Rawlinson Park sometime in May.  Read on for the full story...

It is that time of year again for the annual Richmond Hill Lightning NRL fund raising "best ball" golf tournament.  This year's tournament will be held at the Whispering Ridge Golf Course in Brooklin ON, (North Whitby) and will start at 8:00 am.  Please read on for details and a flyer.
