Coaches, Players and Families,

For the 2017-18 season, we are restoring the Team Wear policy that was in place several years ago to ensure a unified look for players and bench staff as they represent the RHRA at games and tournaments. Moving forward, players on U12P and all regional/provincial teams above that level, are to dress in official RHRA team wear when at the arenas. We look to the head coaches to stress the importance of this with their players.

We are now working with Hockey Lion (directly across from Tom Graham) to design and source a new line of merchandise. No team should produce their own RHRA branded merchandise without board approval. Recognizing that many players/families have already invested in RHRA merchandise, the policy will be grandfathered in for certain items. For example, those with existing jackets do not need to purchase new ones.

For games and tournaments, we expect players to wear:

  • RHRA team jacket -- old or new
  • RHRA new warm up hoodie
  • Black warm up pants -- generic black pants with minimal brand logos

All bench staff at U12P and all regional/provincial teams above that level, are expected to wear an RHRA team jacket, either old or new.

Hockey Lion is offering RHRA members a 10% discount on ringette specific equipment (girdles, cages and sticks) as well as any other protective gear that they stock.

RHRA branded items and Game Pants will be a set price (see RHRA Teamwear document). Skate sharpening cards will also be available for $40 tax-in (regular $45+tax) and can be bought in bulk via the team managers at the beginning of the season. Hockey Lion will not sell at this price to parents just walking in. Teams will be assigned specific dates and times in September to go to Hockey Lion to order their team wear. Delivery is expected in October.

Fitting Dates:

  • Wednesday Sept 13 8-9pm – U19AA, U16AA, U14AA, U12P1
  • Wednesday Sept 20 8-9pm – U19A, U16A, U14A, U12P2
  • Wednesday Sept 27 8-9pm – All Regional Teams

To manage traffic to Hockey Lion we request players visit on their assigned dates, but if you are unable to make it please use one of the other dates.

Players on team U12B and younger, feel free to attend any date if you wish to order any product.
