Richmond Hill Ringette’s House League Program

New for 2019/20, Richmond Hill Ringette is introducing our revised house league program, consistent with the provincial and national standards for long-term athlete development through this program. Our house league will feature a weekly practice along with a 3 v 3 house league game played on half of the ice surface. These house league players will be able to take advantage of the tremendous advantages of smaller sided games, including:

· Players are more engaged learning the skill portion of the game playing in a smaller area with fewer players. Much more time for each player to handle the ring, shoot and pass

· Learning how to play all positions essential to ringette – goalie, defense, forward and centre

· Develop better acceleration, quick stopping and on-ice skills moves to both evade defenders and develop better checking skills

· Continue to learn the game of ringette through the use of a passing line and a ringette goalie crease. Basic rules will be taught and enforced during the games.
