The U19A had a successful start to the 2015-16 tournament campaign playing against a physical group of Western Region teams. The Lightning went 3-1 in the round robin defeating Ayr 6-1, London 5-1 and Kitchener 3-2. The only loss came against a fast and physical Forest team, 7-3. This led to a rematch with Forest in the gold medal final. The Lightning came out strong going ahead 3-1 after one period, but a determined Forest team battled back to win the Gold 5-4. Congratulations Lightning on the silver medal. The 1st medal for many in an always tough London Tournament.
