On Sunday, October 30, members of the U14 Mews team came out in costume to support a very worthy cause. To raise money for the David Suzuki Foundation’s bee initiative, one of the team members, Megan, hosted a haunted house in her garage that was open to the neighbourhood, family and friends. The haunted house was a joint effort between two neighbours, along with a raffle, outdoor games, prizes, and a bake sale, with all proceeds going to the charity. Our Team Manager, Andrea, was kept busy running her popular hot chocolate stand. The team members, Alice, Julia, Kaitlin, Megan, Melissa and Nandini had a frightfully good time in the haunted house (including Coach Mews!) and thanks to everyone’s participation, we raised over $400.
