Learn to Skate is a 20-week program for children aged 4-9 with no previous skating or ringette experience. Your child will learn the basics of skating; forward, backwards, stopping, turning and standing up. As their abilities improve the basics of ringette will be introduced. Our program staff, parent and player volunteers will provide instruction in a supportive, safe and fun environment. The sessions are designed to help your child gain confidence on the ice while having fun.
Equipment: Hockey skates (due to safety, figure skates are not allowed), CSA approved “hockey” helmet, sticks and rings will be provided, warm clothing and mittens
