Tryouts 2024-25 Season

RHRA INTENDS* TO HOST THE FOLLOWING PROVINCIAL TEAMS FOR THE 2024-25 SEASON

U14A/AA, U16A/AA, U19A/AA

*RHRA reserves the right to change team offerings up to and including the beginning of the season.

*All Teams are subject to SRRA Provincial Play Evaluation Committee approval.

The tryout period can be a stressful period for players, families and coaches. The ultimate goal of tryouts is to place players at their appropriate level of play to field competitive teams.

ELIGIBILITY 

• All players must be registered with Ringette Ontario for insurance coverage in order to participate in tryouts
• All players must have submitted their SRRA Player Intents to attend tryouts
• All players must register for tryouts in RAMP 
• All players must pay in advance for their appropriate Tryout Passport (see below) No walk ons will be accepted
• A player may not be eligible for a position on a RHRA A or AA team unless they have attended 2 tryouts (other than exceptional circumstances).
  If a player is unable to attend any tryout dates for a valid reason (i.e. emergency, injury, illness, preplanned travel out of province) but still intends to try out, they must request an exemption, in writing, to the RHRA President (president@rhringette.com) - at least 48 hours prior to the 1st tryout date. Tryout exemption requests will be reviewed by the Tryout Evaluation Committee in consultation with the team head coach

PAYMENT 

• $80 - Full Tryout Passport (allows players to tryout at both AA and A tryouts)
• $40 - 'A' only Tryout Passport 
• e-transfer: payments@rhringette.com (automatic deposit, no password required)

• U19A tryout on Sunday June 2 - New skater registration $40 • Goalies FREE

ATTENDING TRYOUTS AT ANOTHER ASSOCIATION

• Athletes MUST go to tryouts at their home or current association if they offer the age and level the athlete intends to try out for
• Players may attend tryouts at any association they choose following the SRRA Distance Matrix. 
• A player will not be eligible for a release to play on a different association’s team unless the player has attended RHRA tryouts at the same level.
• A "release to play" for another association is required should a player be offered a spot in another association. Ringette Ontario's Athlete Release Form must be signed and completed if all criteria in the Ringette Ontario's Athlete Release Policy has been met.
